Job summary
Kiewit is seeking a Sr. Building Structural Engineer to lead analysis, design, and detailing of complex vertical projects.
You will apply seismic and wind load evaluation, steel and concrete design, and constructability‑focused engineering to deliver safe, cost‑effective structures. Based in Woodcliff Lake NJ, Manhattan NY or Lone Tree CO, you will guide multidisciplinary teams, mentor engineers, and collaborate with construction teams to support design‑build EPC delivery while maintaining
Qualifications
- ABET-accredited civil/structural engineering degree required.
- PE license or in process, with ability to obtain multi-state licenses.
- 10 years of structural analysis and design experience on large projects.
- Knowledge of ASCE/AISC/ACI/NDS codes; proficient with SAP2000/ETABS.
- 3+ years leading engineers; BIM/CAD software experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead structural design and analysis of large-scale projects.
- Produce designs, calculations, and construction documents.
- Collaborate with construction teams and client reps for support.
- Mentor less-experienced engineers and review sub-consultant work.
- Provide RFI responses, shop drawing reviews, and risk assessments.
- Travel as needed (less than 10%).
