Job summary

Kiewit is seeking mid‑career Building Structural Engineers to independently execute analysis, design, and detailing for mid‑ to large‑scale vertical construction. You’ll perform complex calculations, build refined models, and run simulations to validate performance across loading conditions.

Qualifications

• ABET‑accredited BS in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• 3+ years of structural engineering design/analysis experience.
• Experience in wind and seismic design of building superstructures.
• Knowledge of ASCE/AISC/ACI/NDS codes.
• Experience with Design/Build or EPC projects is a plus.
• Proficient with structural analysis tools such as SAP2000, ETABS, RAM, SAFE or RISA.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced structural design and analysis of mid‑sized and large projects with minimal supervision.
• Apply building code knowledge to ensure compliant designs.
• Develop design documents, calculations, and construction drawings.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to deliver cohesive solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and support site inspections as needed.
