The City and County of Honolulu is seeking a Plans Examining Engineer V to review complex building plans for compliance with Building Code and related ordinances. This full-time, permanent role is based in Honolulu and involves coordinating with architects, engineers and inspectors to ensure safe, code-compliant designs are approved.

Responsibilities include evaluating drawings and calculations, issuing permits, supervising plan review staff, and preparing technical reports for major structures.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• One year of professional civil or structural engineering experience required.
• Hawaii professional Civil or Structural Engineer license required or must obtain prior to appointment.
