Placements24 is partnering with an innovative architectural firm in Queenstown, Eastern Cape, to hire a Senior Building Performance Architect. You will lead performance analysis, energy modeling, and sustainability strategies across diverse projects, guiding teams toward energy efficiency, comfort, and high environmental standards.

You will collaboratively work with engineers and designers, applying tools like eQUEST, EnergyPlus, and REVIT to optimize building physics and LEED/EDGE certification

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture or related field.
• 6+ years of building performance and sustainability experience.
• Proficiency in energy modeling software.
• Knowledge of EDGE/LEED certification processes.
• Experience with daylighting and solar analysis.
• Familiarity with Revit and sustainable design workflows.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead building performance analysis and strategy development for architectural projects.
• Model building performance using energy simulation tools.
• Advise teams on energy efficiency and indoor environmental quality.
• Conduct daylight, solar path, and natural ventilation analyses.
• Support certifications like EDGE and LEED with analyses.
• Communicate findings through reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with engineers and consultants on integrated design.
• Stay current with codes and best practices.
