Job summary

KW Property Management & Consulting seeks a Chief Engineer to oversee daily maintenance operations in our community, lead the maintenance staff, and ensure a safe, well‑maintained environment for residents.

Responsibilities include developing a preventive maintenance program, supervising outside vendors, monitoring building systems, and coordinating with the Association Manager to meet project timelines while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of supervisory maintenance experience in hi-rise buildings or hotel operations.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC and painting principles.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Valid Florida driver's license.
• Ability to respond to emergencies within approximately 2 hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day maintenance with the maintenance staff.
• Develop and adhere to the community's preventive maintenance program.
• Supervise outside vendors and report to the Association Manager on progress.
• Maintain an environment with high resident service via feedback and surveys.
• Monitor building systems and perform basic repairs as needed.
• Create maintenance reports with property status and recommendations.
• Ensure safety standards and a safe work environment.
• Organize time effectively and balance multiple projects.
• Keep maintenance logs and update the preventive maintenance manual quarterly.
