Job summary

Responsibilities include budgeting, policy development, and serving as the final authority on building code interpretations, with a focus on reliable service delivery and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Formal training in construction technology or related field.
• Five years of progressive experience in building inspection, plan review, or code enforcement; at least three years in supervision.
• Ability to interpret and apply building codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, manage, and direct the daily operations of the Building Division, including plan check, field inspection, permit issuance, and code enforcement.
• Serve as the designated Building Official under applicable laws and regulations.
• Develop division goals, monitor performance, and manage budget and fee structures.
