Job summary

PACO Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Building Inspector to support the Newark Liberty International Airport AirTrain Replacement Program for PANYNJ.

The ideal candidate will have 5–10+ years of construction inspection experience, with strong knowledge of vertical construction, elevators, escalators, stairways, and building mechanical and electrical systems. You will inspect construction activities, verify compliance with drawings and specs, prepare daily reports, and support quality

Qualifications

• 5+ years of building construction inspection experience.
• Experience with vertical construction and building systems.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs, and codes.
• Experience coordinating with contractors and documenting deficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections of vertical construction components.
• Inspect mechanical, electrical and related building systems.
• Monitor elevators, escalators, and other vertical transport systems.
• Review construction drawings, shop drawings and specs.
• Identify deficiencies and document nonconforming work.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers and safety personnel.
• Prepare daily inspection reports and QA records.
• Verify compliance with codes and project standards.
