Job summary

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience as a residential or commercial building inspector with a Commercial Building, Commercial Electrical, Commercial Plumbing, Commercial Mechanical, Combination Dwelling Inspector, or Combination Inspector certification from ICC/ICBO/IAPMO.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, examines, evaluates, and approves complex construction or alteration of residential and light commercial buildings in accordance with regulations.
• Enforces codes, ordinances, and regulations related to fire, life and health safety, accessibility, structural/nonstructural, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical elements of construction.
• Provides consulting services to architects, engineers, designers, contractors, and owners.
