Job summary

McKinstry in Tampa, FL is seeking a HVAC Technician to join our ActiveOps Technical Services team. You’ll oversee on-site management of subcontractors, ensure quality of HVAC installations, and support clients with energy-efficient system upgrades.

We value strong knowledge of HVAC principles, OSHA certifications, and excellent communication. A BA/BS in related field and 6 years leadership on trades or job sites are preferred; valid driver's license required and opportunity to grow with

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of HVAC principles, equipment, and components.
• OSHA 10 and 30 certifications required or must be obtained within 6 months of assuming position.
• Intermediate working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and Project; SharePoint preferred.
• Six (6) years of leadership of trades and job sites preferred.
• HVAC certifications or licenses, such as EPA 608 for refrigerants.
• BA/BS degree in Construction Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Architecture or Facilities Management or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• On-site management of subcontractors and maintenance of client relationships.
• Onsite face of McKinstry, performing quality control checks of HVAC installations.
• Provide recommendations on system upgrades and energy-efficient alternatives.
• Communicate with clients by providing technical guidance and support.
