Job summary

South Dakota Air National Guard in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Senior Building Maintenance Worker to perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, doors, gates, and grounds at the base. The role requires a valid driver’s license and entails a four-day workweek from 6:45 AM to 5:30 PM, with snow removal duties in winter.

Starting pay is $18.45-$21.70 per hour, with full benefits including health, dental, retirement, and paid leave. Applicants must pass a background check; military preference may apply.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of methods and practices of general building or facility maintenance.
• Familiar with heating and cooling systems, electrical, and plumbing maintenance.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings.
• Ability to establish timetables for projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and buildings.
• Work four 10-hour days (7:45 AM–5:30 PM) Tuesday to Friday; snow removal duties in winter.
• Operate necessary tools and equipment; use computers.
