Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Chief Building Engineer Supervisor in Jacksonville, FL to lead maintenance operations for a facility or portfolio. You will supervise staff, coordinate daily activities, and mentor a team to ensure high-quality repairs and preventive maintenance.

The role requires 5–8 years of related experience, with strong budgeting, scheduling, and MS Office skills. You will develop cost estimates, manage budgets, respond to emergencies, and drive process improvements in our facilities

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of job-related experience with prior supervisory responsibilities.
• Diploma options include high school, GED or trade school with relevant experience.
• Ability to manage multiple maintenance programs and teams.

Responsibilities

• Track staff training and development; conduct evaluations and coaching.
• Coordinate daily team activities; set schedules and assign tasks.
• Develop and communicate preventive maintenance programs and safety manuals.
• Ensure technicians have information and materials to complete work on time.
• Estimate material and labor costs for work orders and projects.
• Establish and maintain facility maintenance budgets.
• Respond to emergencies and escalate as needed.
• Apply advanced knowledge to improve methods and outcomes.
• Lead by example and coach others across the function.
• Support CBRE RI SE values and lead cross-discipline collaboration.
