Job summary

SOCOTEC, Inc. in New York seeks a Senior Principal to provide executive leadership in the Building Envelope practice, overseeing high‑profile projects and shaping strategic growth.

You will mentor staff, manage client relationships with architects, developers and owners, and ensure technical excellence across project delivery including façades, waterproofing, and rehabilitation. This role blends advanced technical leadership with business development, budget governance and industry leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in architecture or engineering and 15+ years in building envelope consulting.
• PE/RA or equivalent licensure required.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and industry standards.
• Experience leading complex client engagements and managing staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic growth and executive-level client relationships for the Building Envelope practice.
• Oversee complex projects involving façades, waterproofing, rehabilitation, and commissioning.
• MENTOR staff and develop multidisciplinary teams.
• Drive quality, schedule, and budget adherence across projects.
