Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team seeks a Senior Leader to drive building envelope design and field execution across rehabilitation and new construction in the US West, Southern California. You will lead a team, shape service scope, and ensure project success from design through field testing.

We value a strong Building Science background, client leadership, and mentoring staff. Hybrid work is supported, with regular site visits and continuous business development activity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in assessing, detailing, testing or constructing building envelope systems.
• Strong understanding of flashing, waterproofing, roofing, cladding and rain screens.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Science with Building Science background.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Building Envelope specialty line within the US West (Southern California).
• Define scope and design criteria for complex services and review drawings for water intrusion and air leakage.
• Manage contract drawings and specifications with a project team.
• Perform field reviews and prepare site visit reports with action lists.
• Conduct building envelope tests and summarize results in formal reports.
• Interface with architects, contractors, and sub-trades; mentor staff; lead proposals and business development.
