Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Architectural/Structural Eng required.
• 7+ years of project experience in building envelope design, repair, and investigation.
• 5+ years in the New York market.
• 2+ years managing direct reports.
• Licensure preferred: NY PE or NY RA; QEWI designation encouraged.
• Familiarity with NYC Local Law 11 and exterior wall inspection is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to implement strategic initiatives for the Building Envelope group.
• Offer day-to-day guidance and foster collaborative problem solving.
• Assist with hiring, development, and mentorship of staff.
• Lead client outreach; collaborate with BD and marketing on proposals.
• Apply architectural engineering principles to diagnose wall envelope issues.
• Promote SOPs and continuous improvement in the team.
• Ensure personal quality and QA standards within the group.
• Support expert witness projects and depositions when needed.
• Manage business operations, deadlines, and budgets.
• Stay updated on building envelope systems, energy codes, materials science, and forensic analysis.
