Job summary

SKA Consulting Engineers, Inc. seeks an experienced Building Envelope Project Manager in Myrtle Beach, SC.

You will oversee envelope projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, budget control and timely delivery, while coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients. The role requires a strong technical background in envelope investigation, design, and commissioning, with at least 10 years of construction experience and a minimum of 3 years in project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years construction-related experience with building envelope investigation and design.
• Minimum 3 years of project management experience.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, materials and QA/QC for envelopes.
• IIBEC certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee building envelope projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality.
• Manage schedules, resources and budgets, with risk assessment and mitigation.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients throughout the lifecycle.
• Lead meetings, provide progress updates, and guide decision-making.
• Mentor younger staff during field work and deliverable issuance.
• Develop repair designs for glazing, curtain walls, roofing, waterproofing and insulation.
• Produce construction documents, specs, and details for envelope systems.
• Perform forensic investigations, prepare assessment reports, and recommend repairs.
• Conduct QA/QC inspections and review submittals, RFIs, and drawings.
• Develop proposals, cost estimates, and project scopes; participate in BD activities.
