Job summary

EMCOR Facilities Services, Inc. seeks a Building Engineer to lead the operation and optimization of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems across Central Florida facilities.

Qualifications

• Seven years of commercial building operations and maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent with technical schooling.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• General maintenance skills: carpentry, painting, electrical work, locksmithing.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
• Experience in planner/scheduler roles.
• Proficient computer skills and CMMS usage.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Reliable attendance and dependable work performance.
• Preferred EPA 608, journeyman licenses, boiler operator, or OSHA 10/30.

Responsibilities

• Lead troubleshooting, investigation, and repair of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on commercial systems.
• Manage reactive work orders and document in CMMS.
• Conduct facility walks to identify issues and create proactive work orders.
• Oversee vendor relationships and subcontractor performance.
• Plan and schedule maintenance tasks with minimal production impact.
• Procure materials and assist in field troubleshooting of complex failures.
• Close out maintenance work orders in CMMS.
• Coordinate with Site Manager and Production staff to schedule tasks.
• Generate purchase requisitions for subcontracted maintenance.
