Job summary

EMCOR Facilities Services seeks a Building Engineer to lead the reliability and optimization of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems across Siemens Energy multi-site facilities in Central Florida. You will troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, manage reactive work orders, and supervise vendors while improving energy efficiency and safety.

Qualifications

• 7 years direct experience in commercial building operations and maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent and technical school certification.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems and equipment.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, etc.
• Experience in planner/scheduler role.
• Good computer navigation skills.
• Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills.
• Preferred EPA Universal (HVAC) or related licenses.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems across sites.
• Perform preventive maintenance and respond to on-demand work orders.
• Manage CMMS work orders, procurement, and material planning.
• Oversee vendor/subcontractor activities and ensure standards compliance.
• Coordinate tasks to minimize impact on production and site operations.
• Document maintenance actions and support energy-conservation initiatives.
• Ensure safety and proper operation of equipment and facilities.
