Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. seeks a Chief Building Engineer Supervisor to lead a team in planning, coordinating, and managing maintenance and repair operations for a facility, campus, or portfolio of buildings.

This role sits within Engineering and Technical Services and supports preventive maintenance, repairs, and operational excellence. The incumbent will coach staff, manage schedules and budgets, and develop preventive maintenance programs and safety manuals while ensuring timely, high-quality work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or trade school diploma with relevant experience.
• 5–8 years of job-related experience preferred; prior supervisory experience is helpful.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff, track training and development, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Coordinate daily activities, set work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
• Develop, implement, and communicate preventive maintenance programs and safety procedures.
• Ensure technicians have necessary information and materials to complete work on time.
• Develop material and labor cost estimates for work orders and maintenance projects.
• Establish and maintain budgets for facilities maintenance.
• Respond to emergencies and seek help when needed.
• Lead by example and mentor others in the function.
• Contribute to achieving departmental goals and communicate complex ideas effectively.
