Job summary

Action Property Management, Inc. seeks a Chief Building Engineer for the Los Angeles region. You will oversee HOA building operations, manage and repair common-area systems, and coordinate with vendors to ensure safety and code compliance.

A strong background in electrical, HVAC, plumbing and fire life safety is required. The role offers a 7:30 AM–4:00 PM schedule, Monday through Friday, plus on-call emergency coverage.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of onsite high rise or mid-rise building engineer experience.
• Familiar with the Uniform Commercial Building Code.
• Hands-on electrical, plumbing, HVAC and painting experience.
• Fire system management experience and EPA/608 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the building, ensuring HOA compliance.
• Monitor building systems and coordinate with contractors and vendors.
• Plan preventive maintenance and implement system improvements.
• Supervise maintenance staff and report on work orders.
• Respond to emergencies and maintain 24/7 readiness.
