Job summary

CP Group in Atlanta seeks a Building Engineer responsible for the operation and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and life-safety systems across assigned properties. You will deliver reliable building performance and responsive tenant service, including emergency response and vendor coordination.

The role may require on-call shifts, travel between properties, and adherence to safety protocols, with a focus on quality and efficiency in a fast-paced commercial real estate environment.

Qualifications

• Must have strong mechanical skills and fault-finding abilities.
• Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing in commercial buildings.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• CFC certification preferred or required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide HVAC, electrical, and plumbing maintenance for buildings.
• Obtain quotes and coordinate vendors to complete tasks.
• Perform preventive maintenance per OEM standards and safety guidelines.
• Respond to tenant service requests, emergencies, and outages.
• Inspect equipment rooms, life-safety systems, and backup power where present.
• Document activities and report findings to supervisor.
