ECS invites a Building Enclosure Senior Project Associate to join the Southeast Building Science + Infrastructure team in Mobile, AL. You will manage building enclosure projects, lead technical investigations, and deliver practical consulting across varied facilities.

As a client-facing senior, you will coordinate teams, review designs, and mentor junior staff while ensuring quality and compliance with codes and standards. This role emphasizes collaboration, execution, and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering or Architecture (NCARB).
• 5+ years of related experience in building enclosure consulting, including field investigations, testing, commissioning (BECx), design review, or forensic assessments.
• License or certification in PE, RA, or IIBEC certifications (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform building science & infrastructure testing, inspections, and consulting services.
• Conduct site observations and inspections of roofing and building enclosure systems.
• Interpret drawings and site plans; perform CAD work as needed.
• Develop testing plans and perform specialized building enclosure testing.
• Interpret test results and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform building enclosure investigations, forensic assessments, and commissioning (BECx).
• Lead design reviews and prepare repairs for building envelope components.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
