Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Building Enclosure Senior Project Architect to lead enclosure consulting projects, manage investigations, testing, and design reviews, and mentor junior staff. You will work with clients and multidisciplinary teams to evaluate envelope performance and deliver practical consulting solutions across facilities.

This client-facing role requires strong project management, technical execution, and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Structural, Architectural Engineering, or Architecture.
• 6+ years in building enclosure consulting with field investigations and testing.
• Licensed Architect; NCARB is preferred.
• Certifications such as IIBEC or BECxP are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead building enclosure investigations and commissioning (BECx) activities.
• Perform site observations of roofing and enclosure systems.
• Develop testing plans and perform specialized enclosure testing.
• Interpret results, identify deficiencies, and recommend actions.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage schedules.
• Prepare and review reports, proposals, and budgets.
• Mentor junior staff and supervise field personnel.
