Job summary

The Building People, LLC is seeking a Senior Building Controls Technician to support DoD projects. The role focuses on programming, configuring, and testing Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems for smart building infrastructure. Expect independent work with some supervision and frequent travel.

You will design control software and hardware, troubleshoot networks, and provide owner training while collaborating with the engineering team on configurations and sequences of operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of programming, startup and commissioning of control systems.
• Niagara N4 certification is required.
• Experience on DoD building controls projects is preferred.
• Familiar with DDC protocols such as BACnet, LON, Modbus.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer control system hardware and software per plans and specs.
• Program projects with varying complexity.
• Perform network and database troubleshooting and repair programming.
• Collaborate with engineering on configuration, graphics, and sequences.
• Develop sequences of operations and integrations with third-party systems.
• Travel to CONUS/OCONUS sites up to 25% as needed.
