Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks an on-site Controls Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, install and commission building automation systems in the Knoxville area. You will provide high levels of customer satisfaction through direct on-site interface and detailed documentation.

Required: 5 years of commercial controls troubleshooting in HVAC, a technical degree or equivalent experience, and strong communication skills. Competitive hourly range and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 5 years Commercial Controls troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry.
• Vocational School program graduate or associate's degree in a technical field, or two years’ experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems.
• Demonstrated ability to install and/or service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and repairs complex control systems malfunctions requiring extensive knowledge of electronic or digital controls systems.
• Consults with customers, provides field proposals for retrofits/upgrades, and assists sales with technical recommendations.
• Manages assigned work to meet professional and efficient execution and documents results.
