Job summary

Georgetown University seeks a Supervisor of Controls to provide engineering and operations management for Building Automation Systems (BAS) and HVAC controls on the Georgetown campus. You will monitor energy usage, analyze performance, and implement improvements to enhance reliability and reduce costs.

The role leads retro-commissioning efforts and coordinates with service providers to optimize building systems.

Qualifications

• BS degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred; associate’s degree acceptable with additional experience.
• Minimum 7 years in facilities management, BAS/HVAC systems, energy management or related fields.
• Minimum four years with BAS/HVAC systems.
• Strong knowledge of energy consuming building systems and data centers.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering and operations management for Building Automation Systems including HVAC controls.
• Monitor energy consumption and performance; implement recommendations to improve operations.
• Identify and develop energy projects and execute them to achieve reliability and cost savings.
• Oversee modifications to control designs and commissioning processes.
• Lead interactions with controls service providers during installation and retro-commissioning.
