Job summary

Purdue University – Energy Management is seeking a Senior Facilities Systems Control Designer Specialist to design, coordinate, and improve BAS and HVAC controls across campus. The role works independently to develop detailed control system designs and specifications throughout the project lifecycle.

You will help maintain and enhance BAS, collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to ensure system performance and integration. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential.<\/p>

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.
• Experience with HVAC control systems and building automation.
• Ability to read mechanical/control documentation and sequences.
• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review HVAC and BAS designs, drawings, specs and sequences.
• Provide coordination and technical support across projects and stakeholders.
• Support RCx efforts and implement program improvements.
• Develop commissioning plans to ensure systems operate as intended.
• Contribute to campus-wide efficiency through curtailment planning.
• Participate in troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities.
