Job summary

Johns Hopkins University seeks an HVAC Technician to maintain and optimize building automation systems across the School of Public Health facilities. You will manage controls, data, and energy efficiency projects, ensuring reliable operations and compliance with safety standards.

The role requires strong HVAC experience, proficiency with BAS, and the ability to coordinate with engineering staff. The position offers a hybrid schedule and opportunity for professional growth in campus facilities

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years of related HVAC experience.
  • Experience with building automation systems preferred.
  • Additional education may substitute for required experience.
  • Strong understanding of energy management and BAS.

Responsibilities

  • Lead in automated system troubleshooting and repair of system controls and field devices.
  • Monitor the building automation system to optimize performance and energy conservation.
  • Develop and modify sequences of operations and control strategies.
  • Calibrate sensors and troubleshoot DDC devices.
  • Ensure close-out documentation for new equipment.
  • Respond to emergencies after hours.
  • Assist in capital renewal and fiscal planning.
