Job summary

IMEG is seeking a commissioning engineer to manage multiple projects in a hybrid, full-time role in Columbus, OH. You will interface with clients, coordinate teams, manage schedules and budgets, and develop commissioning plans and tests for building systems.

You will review docs, perform functional testing with contractors, and mentor junior staff while advancing best practices across our national commissioning team. Competitive pay and strong benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.
• 5+ years in commissioning or MEP consulting; 6 preferred.
• 9+ years in commissioning or MEP design consulting; 10 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support multiple commissioning projects with client interface and budget control.
• Support construction and renovation commissioning with senior staff.
• Review construction documents and equipment submittals.
• Develop commissioning plans, reports, checklists and test procedures.
• Complete web-based project management in Cx Alloy.
• Assist with functional testing of building MEP systems with contractors.
• Track issues to closeout and support reporting and post-occupancy activities.
• Analyze building operation and controls performance.
• Lead field observations, write reports, and run commissioning meetings.
• Contribute to process improvements and cross-team collaboration.
