Job summary

Divcon Controls in Fargo, ND, seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead complex building automation projects across multiple sites, driving strategy, coordination, and stakeholder engagement from planning to delivery.

You will partner with clients, engineering teams, and senior leadership to ensure on-time, in-budget delivery that meets the highest technical standards. Travel up to 85% is expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in construction project or program management in BAS or MEP environments.
• Proven cross-functional leadership on high-value, multi-phase projects.
• Deep knowledge of building automation, HVAC controls, and electrical/commissioning systems.
• Strong business acumen with experience in financial oversight, reporting, and resource planning.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management from technicians to C-suite.
• Proficiency with project management software (Procore, MS Project)

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project execution across multiple BAS construction projects, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and client requirements.
• Direct and mentor project teams, including field staff, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Own project portfolio performance — scope, budget, schedule, and quality — and deliver monthly financial and milestone reporting to senior executives.
• Oversee all contract documentation, change order management, procurement, and vendor coordination.
• Collaborate closely with clients to build trust, manage expectations, and serve as primary point of escalation.
• Evaluate and approve engineering designs, technical submittals, and BoMs for compliance and efficiency.
• Mitigate risk through proactive planning, forecasting, and issue resolution.
• Standardize best practices across projects to drive efficiency and quality in delivery.
• Ensure compliance with Divcon’s internal systems (e.g., DivPro), safety standards, and project documentation protocols.
