Arundel Bank, based in Maryland, is seeking a Senior BSA Analyst to join the Risk Department. This role focuses on complex investigations, regulatory reporting, and ensuring robust BSA/AML compliance within a community-focused financial institution with a 120-year history.

You will own the automated monitoring system, perform due diligence on higher-risk relationships, and provide guidance and training to staff, while supporting audits and regulatory examinations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of financial-institution BSA/AML/OFAC compliance or financial-crimes experience.
• Experience investigating complex alerts and cases and preparing SARs/CTRs.
• Knowledge of BSA/AML/CFT, CIP, customer due diligence, beneficial ownership, and OFAC requirements.
• Proficiency with BSA/AML software and automated monitoring systems (Verafin, Abrigo BAM, etc.).
• Strong investigative, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Own daily and periodic administration of the bank’s automated BSA/AML monitoring system; alert review, case management, reporting and regulatory submissions.
• Ensure monitoring-system effectiveness through validation, reconciliation, tuning, and documentation.
• Independently investigate complex alerts, referrals, relationships, and transaction patterns for potential illicit activity.
• Prepare SARs and supporting narratives; file CTRs and exemptions within deadlines.
• Provide BSA/AML guidance, training, and coaching to coworkers.
• Support risk assessments, audits, regulatory examinations, and reporting to management/Board.
