Job summary

Metro Credit Union is seeking a Senior BSA Analyst to identify and investigate suspicious activity, strengthen BSA/AML controls, and support regulatory compliance. You will conduct enhanced due diligence and ongoing monitoring, review AML alerts, and ensure accurate SAR/CTR filings.

You will collaborate with fraud prevention and risk teams, update SOPs, and mentor teammates in a fast-paced regulatory environment focused on protecting members and the institution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• 2–3 years of BSA/AML or related compliance experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of BSA/AML requirements including USA PATRIOT Act and FinCEN expectations.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to document findings clearly.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information practically.
• Ability to work independently while contributing as part of a team.
• Adaptability to changing regulatory expectations, systems, and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Conduct complex BSA/AML investigations and enhanced due diligence reviews.
• Review alerts generated by AML software and document findings; escalate as needed.
• Prepare and file SARs and CTRs with accurate support and timely filings.
• Oversee CTR workflows in the automated compliance management system.
• Maintain accurate Know Your Customer records and due diligence practices.
• Update SOPs, job aids, and reference materials as regulations or processes evolve.
• Collaborate with fraud prevention, risk mitigation, and member protection teams.
• Mentor new team members and support team training.
