Job summary

Broadcast Management Group in Washington, DC seeks a Broadcast Production Engineer to support REMI facilities, mobile units, and client sites nationwide. The role entails extensive travel as Engineer in Charge (EIC) on live broadcasts, ensuring mission-critical equipment runs smoothly.

You’ll work with the integration team to install and test gear, read AutoCAD drawings, and build signal flow diagrams and rack elevations, contributing to broadcast-grade infrastructure from the ground up.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in broadcast engineering, live production, or mobile/remote operations.
  • Proficiency with broadcast editing software and live production gear.
  • Ability to read AutoCAD drawings and interpret signal flow diagrams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical production support across facilities and mobile units.
  • Serve as Engineer in Charge (EIC) on location and at OPS center.
  • Coordinate integration projects and staff training for upgrades.
  • Terminate, label, and test video, audio, control, and network cabling.
  • Build shows from the ground up with router configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Travel extensively and work irregular hours as schedules require.
  • Mentor junior engineers and manage production crews on large events.
