Job summary

MediaCo Holding Inc. is hiring a Broadcast / IT Engineer for the New York market. The role supports daily broadcasting operations, IT services, and strategic technical projects to ensure 24/7 reliability.

You will collaborate with the Head of Engineering and Corporate IT on cybersecurity, system upgrades, and regulatory compliance while maintaining documentation and vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of broadcast engineering experience in television and/or radio operations.
• Strong knowledge of broadcast systems, signal flow, RF transmission, automation, and production environments.
• Experience supporting Windows-based desktop and network environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across both broadcast and IT systems.
• Experience managing projects and coordinating vendors and contractors.
• Ability to lift equipment and work in technical facilities, transmitter sites, and rooftop environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day engineering operations for the New York market.
• Serve as the primary engineering liaison to local station management and the Head of Engineering.
• Maintain engineering documentation, technical diagrams, preventive maintenance schedules, and asset inventories.
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve technical issues.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to technical emergencies as needed.
• Maintain studios, master control, production systems, routing infrastructure, and monitoring systems.
• Support WideOrbit Automation and Master Control systems; Zixi, AudioVault, and Zetta platforms.
• Provide local desktop and end-user IT support; coordinate with Corporate IT on cybersecurity initiatives.
• Lead facility upgrades, equipment installations, and infrastructure modernization projects.
• Assist with budgeting, capital planning, and vendor management.
• Ensure compliance with FCC, FAA, EAS, OSHA, and company engineering standards.
