Job summary

Mediacom Communications is seeking a Broadband Specialist IV, Maintenance to perform field maintenance of the HFC and HSD systems and to ensure reliable service. This role includes turning on new distribution systems, troubleshooting trunk issues, and working from pole to tap with safety as a priority.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED (Associates preferred) and a strong background in cable technology. A valid driver's license and the ability to work flexible hours are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associates degree preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Experience as Broadband Technician or equivalent cable experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform field maintenance and repair of CATV and HSD systems.
• Set trunk levels and install trunk amplifiers; calculate signal losses.
• Conduct system tests (RF, signal, return loss) and balance HFC plant.
• Climb poles and work in varied weather; maintain safety.
• On-call duties may be required; assist teammates as needed.
