Qualifications

• Three years of welding experience or training on-the-job.

Responsibilities

• Performs specialized aluminum and stainless-steel welding, fabrication, and design work for fixed and movable bridge components.
• Inspects, prepares, repairs, and welds metal components, performing preheating, grinding, brazing and other welding techniques while following safety standards.
• Provides supervision and training to other welders and apprentices, including Mobile Equipment Operators and Trades Apprentices.
• Makes minor equipment repairs, adjusts equipment as needed, and operates heavy trucks/equipment.

Education

Three years welding experience or training

Technical Diploma or AS welding program + 1 year experience
