Job summary

RK&K is seeking a Senior Structural Project Engineer to lead bridge and structural design across Maryland, Colorado, or DC locations. The role requires P.E. licensure, strong codes knowledge, and proficiency in major structural software. You will mentor engineers and coordinate with clients and regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a structural focus.
• Minimum eight years of bridge and structural design experience.
• P.E. (professional engineer) license.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as STAAD, LARSA 4D, OpenBridge Designer, AASHTOWare BrR.
• Strong understanding of codes: AASHTO, ACI, ASCE, IBC.
• Excellent written and oral communication and teamwork.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design development and provide direction to projects.
• Perform structural analyses using standard software tools.
• Prepare contract documents for construction and support regulatory submittals.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with other disciplines.
• Coordinate with contractors and regulatory agencies to meet schedule and budget.
• Review design calculations, drawings, and specifications for accuracy and safety.
• Assist with marketing and proposals as needed.
