Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• Master's degree preferred.
• California PE License preferred.
• 5+ years in bridge and retaining wall projects.
• Experience designing transport structures to Caltrans/local standards.
• AASHTO LRFD with Caltrans amendments familiarity.
• Knowledge of CTBridge, CSiBridge, VBent, CTAbut, LPile or similar tools.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• MS Office proficiency (Word & Excel).
• Desire to grow technically and in PM.

Responsibilities

• Independently prepares project plans and estimates (P&E) on small to mid projects.
• Collaborates on large projects to prepare P&E packages.
• Prepares notes for specification writers.
• Coordinates with CAD drafters and other disciplines.
• Leads utility, permitting, and subconsultant coordination.
• Prepares QA/QC checklist packages per internal standards.
• Mentors younger staff.
• Assists in proposals and exhibits.
• Participates in internal trainings.
• Prepares RE Pending Files and supports bidding/construction.
• Attends site visits and structures observations.
