Job summary

Dewberry is seeking a responsible Structural Engineer to join our water structures team in Rancho Cordova, CA or Denver, CO. The role focuses on design of water, wastewater, and storm water facilities, with opportunity to expand technical skills and advance within the firm.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of experience, a CA PE license, and a Civil Engineering degree, plus strong communication and leadership abilities. Open to multiple sites with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in the design of water and wastewater structures.
• California Professional Engineer (PE) License required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Proven track record and reputation for being highly responsive and delivering quality work.
• Good verbal and written communications skills.
• Strong leadership qualities and ability to coach and mentor staff.
• Experience with design codes: CBC, ACI 318/350, AISC, CMACN, NDS.

Responsibilities

• The successful candidate will be part of a team performing the structural design of water, wastewater, and storm water conveyance and treatment infrastructure and support buildings.
• The candidate will have a water structural engineering background and familiarity with the associated software and design standards.
• Development of contract plans, preparation of engineer's estimates and construction specifications, plus field and office construction support services.
