Job summary

Dewberry is seeking an Entry Level Structural (Bridge) Engineer for our Fairfax, VA office. The role involves designing bridges and civil structures, with focus on steel and concrete construction, using AutoCAD and/or Microstation.

You'll work with a team to produce bridge elements, conduct load ratings, develop rebar quantities, review shop drawings, and assist with bridge safety inspections. Ideal for new graduates with FE exam pursued.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering preferred.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency using AutoCAD and/or Microstation and a desire to work in a team environment.
• FE exam completion preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Design bridges and civil structures (primarily steel and concrete).
• Design steel and concrete bridge elements and perform bridge load ratings.
• Develop reinforcing bar lists and quantities; review shop drawings.
• Assist with bridge safety inspections.
