The role requires a Civil or Structural Engineering degree, EIT, 5–10 years of experience, familiarity with CTDOT/NJDOT/NYSDOT standards, and proficiency in SAP2000, STAAD, CSiBridge, AutoCAD or MicroStation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering.
• EIT certification required; PE license preferred.
• 5–10 years of structural design experience, including bridge work.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software and CAD tools.
• Experience with CTDOT / NJDOT / NYSDOT design standards.
• Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to deliver high‑quality, code‑compliant work.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and analysis of bridges and transportation structures.
• Perform load rating analyses and structural evaluations.
• Prepare drawings, specs, and engineering calculations.
• Conduct site inspections for new or rehabilitative design.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and regulators.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide project phases.
