Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Construction Inspector in Atlanta, GA. The role demands proactive defect identification, daily site supervision, and QA oversight of bridge and roadway work in accordance with contract specs.

Responsibilities include mentoring junior staff, delivering detailed inspection reports, SME support on Developer activities, and ensuring CQAP compliance and material certifications for Final Acceptance. Night/weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with extensive roadway/bridge inspection experience.
• Experience reading complex construction plans and reports (BFI, pile driving).
• Strong knowledge of specs, standards, materials, and equipment used in highway/bridge work.
• Ability to work independently, make field decisions, and ensure safety.

Responsibilities

• Identify and document deficiencies in roadway/bridge construction and communicate adjustments.
• Conduct daily site visits to monitor work and material quality.
• Mentor and review junior staff work for QA and best practices.
• Provide inspections and written reports for bridge construction and OV activities.
• Supervise junior technicians performing OV audits and inspections.
• Act as SME on Developer activities including remediation reviews.
• Monitor on-site activities and verify materials per plans and CQAP.
• Ensure material certification meets Final Acceptance requirements.
