Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. in Atlanta, GA seeks a Construction Inspector to support senior staff in overseeing roadway, bridge, and drainage projects. You will review plans, monitor activities, and ensure conformance to specifications.

You will conduct field audits, inspect materials sampling and testing, attend pre-activity meetings, document findings, and promote safety on site. The role requires strong inspection skills and the ability to work with diverse teams in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in civil engineering or related field with 2+ years of roadway/bridge inspection experience.
• Associate degree with 5 years of inspection experience.
• HS diploma with 7 years of inspection experience.
• Able to obtain GDOT certifications within ~6 months.
• Valid US Driver’s License and pass MVR check.
• Good reading of construction documents and specs; proficient with office software.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior inspectors in construction oversight and inspection duties.
• Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Monitor construction activities for compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Conduct field audits of developer and ICQA processes.
• Inspect roadways, structures, and drainage systems for conformance to project requirements.
• Observe and support verification of materials sampling and testing (soils, aggregate, asphalt, concrete).
• Attend pre-activity meetings with contractors and quality teams.
• Document inspection findings and prepare electronic reports.
• Uphold and promote safety practices in all construction activities.
