Job summary

JMT's Richmond, Virginia office is seeking a motivated engineer to lead bridge and transportation structure projects across local, state, and federal levels. The role involves delivering project objectives, managing scope, schedule, budget, and coordinating team resources.

The candidate will help grow the Richmond bridge engineering staff, lead project planning, QA, and client communication while maintaining high standards and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a focus in structural engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 10+ years of bridge and structural design experience.
• PE License.
• Strong Communication Skills.
• Strong Presentation Skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and ongoing performance management for the bridge team in Richmond, with potential for direct reports.
• Deliver technical and structural engineering expertise across project lifecycle from preliminary design to construction.
• Coordinate resources and subconsultants to ensure high-quality outcomes and manage scope and schedule.
