Job summary

Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. seeks highway/bridge construction inspectors to work on Maryland projects across multiple counties. Candidates must be able to work day, night, and weekend shifts as needed and have strong field inspection and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• MDOT SHA/MDTA or other DOT construction inspection experience preferred.
• Certifications or ability to obtain certification (Yellow Card, MARTCP).
• NICET certification is a plus.
• Familiar with Word and Excel for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily field inspections and observations of heavy highway and bridge work.
• Measure, compute, record, and maintain contract quantities for payments.
• Read and interpret plans, specs, and standards.
• Sample and test materials per project standards and specs.
• Document daily progress, conformance, staffing, and quantities.
• Enter progress and documentation in Word/Excel or electronic system.
• Identify and communicate project issues to managers and contractor.
• Assess and communicate unsafe conditions on site.
