Job summary

KS Engineers, P.C. is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector for bridges to perform inspections, review findings, and ensure compliance with OSHA and jurisdictional MPT requirements.

The role includes mentoring staff and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of design criteria and inspection standards. The position requires a minimum of 7 years on bridge construction projects, NJDOT project experience preferred, and certifications such as NICET, TCC, NJSAT, and ACI Grade I are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• NICET certification in Highway Construction or related discipline preferred.
• TCC (Traffic Control Coordinator) certification required.
• NJSAT certification required.
• ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade I required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect bridges and other structures for condition and compliance with applicable requirements.
• Review and verify inspection findings, reports, photos, and supporting documentation for accuracy.
• Ensure inspection procedures meet Client requirements and OSHA regulations.
• Verify maintenance and protection of traffic (MPT) measures as required by jurisdiction.
• Ensure equipment and resources are available and properly maintained for inspections.
• Train, mentor, and provide guidance to inspection staff.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable design criteria, inspection standards, codes, and industry technologies.
• Demonstrate proficiency in engineering, drafting, inspection, and administrative software.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

NICET certification in Highway Construction or related discipline

New Jersey Safety Alliance Training (NJSAT) Certification
