Job summary

KS Engineers, P.C. is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector – Bridge to perform inspections on bridges and related structures, ensuring compliance with client requirements and OSHA guidelines.

The role requires 7+ years on bridge projects and NJDOT experience is preferred, with NICET/TCC/NJSAT/ACI certifications valued. Responsibilities include reviewing findings, maintaining equipment, mentoring inspection staff, and staying current with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience on bridge construction projects.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working on NJDOT projects preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• NICET certification in Highway Construction or related discipline preferred.
• TCC (Traffic Control Coordinator) certification Required.
• New Jersey Safety Alliance Training (NJSAT) Certification.
• ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician – Grade I.
• Equivalent combination of education and training may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of bridges and other structures to assess conditions and compliance with applicable requirements.
• Review and verify inspection findings, reports, photographs, and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure all inspection procedures and requirements established by the Client are properly implemented.
• Verify that all work is performed in accordance with OSHA requirements and MPT measures as required by the governing jurisdiction.
• Ensure all equipment, tools, and resources required to safely complete inspections are available and properly maintained.
• Train, mentor, and provide technical guidance to inspection staff.
• Maintain current knowledge of applicable design criteria, inspection standards, codes, and industry technologies.
• Demonstrate proficiency in engineering, drafting, inspection, and administrative software required to complete assigned projects.
