Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience specifically in bridge engineering.
• Demonstrated experience managing bridge engineering projects, including technical delivery, budgets, and schedules.
• Experience in business development, client relationship management, and/or engineering proposal development.
• Strong technical understanding of bridge design, rehabilitation, and transportation structures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and oversight for bridge engineering projects, including design, rehabilitation, and related transportation structures.
• Guide project managers and engineering teams on technical decisions, quality standards, schedules, and project execution.
• Oversee project resources, budgets, financial performance, and delivery commitments.
• Support engineering proposals, project planning, and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Develop and execute strategies to expand the bridge engineering practice in Kentucky and surrounding markets.
• Build and maintain relationships with transportation agencies, public-sector clients, and infrastructure stakeholders.
• Lead and contribute to technical proposals, client presentations, and pursuit strategies.
• Collaborate with regional office managers and practice leaders to identify new project opportunities.
• Mentor engineers and project managers while supporting professional development and career progression.
• Support departmental planning, operational performance, and sustainable business growth.
