Job summary
NV5 seeks a senior bridge engineer in Morristown with 9–15 years in structural engineering to lead bridge projects for public and private clients. You will mentor staff, guide multidisciplinary teams, and ensure project delivery from planning through construction support.
Candidate should have PE license (NJ preferred), proficiency with MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer and structural software (STAAD, LEAP, LARS), and deep knowledge of NJ standards.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering required; M.S. preferred.
- PE license required; NJ PE preferred, NY PE a plus.
- 9–15 years of progressively responsible bridge/structural engineering experience.
- Experience with AASHTO LRFD and industry standards.
- Proficiency with MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer and STAAD/LEAP/LARS.
- Experience leading bridge projects from planning through construction support.
Responsibilities
- Manage design and delivery of bridge and structural projects for transportation and infrastructure clients (NJDOT/NJTA, counties, municipalities).
- Oversee construction documents, design calculations, and specs.
- Coordinate with internal teams and subconsultants.
- Mentor engineers and staff; provide technical guidance and oversight.
- Communicate with clients; present updates and design needs.
