Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Atlanta office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 7+ years of experience to join the Bridge Structures team. This non-remote role requires leading bridge design efforts, performing analyses, and producing complete drawings and specifications with minimal supervision.

You will mentor EITs, participate in client meetings, and help drive construction phase activities while maintaining a strong focus on quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant engineering design experience.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp and structural analysis tools.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Serve in a technical role on bridge design projects.
• Perform structural analysis, design, and planning on bridges and transportation structures.
• Develop full sets of structural drawings and technical specifications without guidance.
• Train and mentor Engineers-In-Training (EITs) in structural engineering.
• Lead construction phase support and meet client expectations.
• Support meetings with clients, contractors, and design team members; identify project opportunities.
