Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Jacksonville, Florida office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join our Bridge Structures team. This is not a remote position. You will perform structural analysis and design on bridges and transportation structures, develop drawings and specifications, and mentor Engineers-In-Training while coordinating with clients and project teams.

Candidates should hold a P.E. license or be eligible within 12 months and have experience with OpenBridge Modeler,

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant engineering design experience.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or able to obtain within 12 months.
• Experience with Bentley OpenBridge Modeler and Bentley MicroStation.
• Proficiency with structural analysis and design software such as MathCAD Prime, LARSA, STAAD.Pro, MDX, and LEAP Bridge products.

Responsibilities

• Serve in a technical role on bridge design projects.
• Perform structural analysis, design, and planning on bridges and transportation structures.
• Develop full sets of structural drawings and technical specifications without guidance.
• Lead and mentor Engineers-In-Training in structural engineering.
• Perform design calculations, plan production activities, and prepare project submittal packages.
• Lead construction phase efforts on building projects in structural engineering.
• Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and design team members.
• Identify project opportunities through networking with clients.
